  1. Victoria Memorial

    Victoria Memorial is a huge monument made of white marble. Built in the memory of Queen Victoria, you can find here the Indo-Saracenic Revival architecture. It is a magnificent place to visit by the bank of river Hooghly.

  2. Dakshineswar Temple

    Kolkata is a city of pilgrim’s paradise. If you are religious then it is perfect to start your day with the famous Dakshineswar temple. Here you can see the traditional Nava-ratna style Bengali architectural three storey temple. This temple is sanctorum of Goddess Kali and place of stay of mystic Yogi Shree Ramakrishna  Paramahansa.

  3. Vidya Sagar Setu  (Second Hooghly Bridge)

    In fact an ideal place to visit the “Longest Bridge of Asia” located over the river Hooghly in Kolkata. This bridge brings the two pulsating cities Howrah and Kolkata together. First and foremost you should know that this setu (Bridge) is a cable bridge. It is 457 M and 35 M wide with six lane traffic.

  4. Writer’s  Building

    You should visit this Royal writer’s building as its main attraction is its stunning architecture and design. Built in 1777, the 150 meter long structures  have Greco-Roman style several statues of Greek Gods. All things considered today there are 13 blocks and the entire building is having a stretch of water body around it known as Lal Dighi.

  5. Rabindra Sadan

    This place is “citadel’’ where you can find culture, and a center for  theater in Kolkata. Here you will find  defunct star  theater, auditoriums, movie complex. On the other hand, first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on 5th August 1967 laid the foundation of this building.

  6. Eden Garden

    You will feel proud to see the  oldest stadium of India  “The Eden Garden” stadium. Surprisingly it is the biggest stadium of India with capacity to accommodate 66,000 people at a time. Eden Garden sprawls over lush green land of 50acres. It includes a cricket ground, indoor stadium, many lakes and a pagoda.

  7. College Street (Biggest Book Market)

    If you are a book lover then this is a perfect option for you to see  an eminent center of Kolkata‘s  “Literary Crowd”. It is second home for intellectuals, scholars, academicians, students and book lovers. This is just paradise for book lovers. Moreover bigwig Bengal publications houses are there.

  8. Netaji  House

    You will gain a wonderful experience to view the house of the great patriot and Indian Nationalist Subhash Chandra Bose (Neta ji). This is the house from where Neta ji escaped from house arrest and fled to Berlin.  This house is now turned to Neta ji research Bureau and includes a museum and library.

  9. Mahajati Sadan

    This place provided shelter and protection to the  freedom fighters and was known as “House Of  Nation”. Rabindra Nath laid the foundation of this house on request of Subhash Chandra Bose. At this point it is place of Bengali theater and seminars.

  10. Mother’s wax Museum

    This is the first Wax Museum of India and you will like this experience as it is beyond imagination to see the wax statue of famous personalities. Sushanta Ray a veteran wax sculptor is the man behind all the wax sculptures.
